The 2009 Ukrainian Orthodox Senior's Fair was held at St. Anthony's on Wednesday, May 20th! Congratulations go out to the Senior's Fair Organizing Committee - Ann Lega, Harry Nichiporik, Pat Zyha, Claire Lauro,Pat Anderson and Yvonne Panchuk for a job well done!
The Fair started with a Moleben celebrated by His Grace, Bishop Ilarion and Father Patrick
Presentations were made by several guest speakers who provided imformation that was relevant to today's seniors.

No Parish event would be complete without a performance by our own Celebration Choir! The group performed several Ukrainian folk songs and led a sing-along for all our guests!

There will be a week end Liturgy held Saturday, September 11th at 10:00 AM commemorating the beheading of John the Baptist.
Matins will commence at 9:30 AM Sunday mornings beginning September 12th.
Regular Vesper services will resume on Saturday, September 18th at 5:00 PM.

Would you like to expand your understanding of the Bible? Would you like new challenges from an ancient text? Then consider learning the basics of Biblical Greek! Reverend Ron Poworoznik, an Orthodox priest from Sherwood Park and graduate of Newman Theological College, is seeking people this fall who are interested in taking this two-semester audit course, beginning in mid-September. Please e-mail him no later than September 5th at rpowor@yahoo.ca if interested. Exact times and location to be determined based on the level of response.
