The Edmonton Carpathian Club
Mandate
The Edmonton Carpathian Club's focus is on providing financial assistance to St. Anthony's Ukrainian Orthodox Church while the Parish developes programs to enrich the Orthodox Faith and promote Ukrainian Culture. The Edmonton Carpathian Club members work together as a team to support other Parish subcommittees in carrying out their programs.
Activities & Events
The Edmonton Carpathian Club Annual General Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Dinner was held on Saturday, January 30th. Volunteers from all parish events were treated to a wonderful meal prepared by still more volunteers in appreciation of their efforts over the past year. The dinner was greatly appreciated by all!
Our 2009 Annual Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, June 6 at Cougar Creek Golf Resort. The weather held off until the final hole but most golfers made it back to the clubhouse before the rain hit! A big thank you to Golf Committee members Joe & Dianne Bodnar, Dave Korzan, Pat Bodnaruk, Brad & Vicki Kinhnicki, Dave & Evie Pysyk, Rick Pysyk and Craig & Donna Reed for their hard work. A special thank you goes out to Justin Blasco & Angela Doerksen from Premier Industrial for their assistance as well as all our corporate sponsors. This was one of our most successful tournaments to date and credit goes to all our wonderful volunteers at the course and in the kitchen!
Future plans for the Edmonton Carpathian Club include assisting with the proposed expansion of St. Anthony's.
